Friction welding is suitable for a variety of different material combinations.

Most metals can be friction welded, and a number of otherwise hard-to-join materials can benefit from friction welding.

The technique allows for testing as-of-yet untried combinations, and we therefore view any special requirements as a challenge – so let us discuss your requirements and expectations.

Material, shape and dimensions

Friction welding enables joining many different materials that cannot usually be welded together.

The shape of the material is one of the few reservations that must be made for friction welding. Welding can only be done on items that can be fixed and made to rotate relative to another fixed material. However, irregular items can usually be fixed using simple tools.

Welding dimensions depend on the material, so please contact Aviatec for a detailed discussion of your requirements.
